These comforting homemade Tahini bars are absolutely delicious and come together in a matter of minutes. They're filling, healthy, & the perfect snack to keep in your freezer when you need just a little bit of something sweet!
INGREDIENTS
-1 Bag of Mixed Nuts
-5 pitted Medjool dates
-2 Teaspoons of tahini
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-1/4 cup of honey
-1 tablespoon of coconut oil
-Handful of Semi Sweet Chocolate chips
*optional toppings: Sea salt & freeze-dried strawberries
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Place your mixed nuts In a food processor & blend until finely grained.
2. Then, add in your dates, tahini, honey, vanilla, & coconut oil.
3. Blend together until you have a grainy paste.
4. In a round or square baking pa, take your paste & flatten the "crust". Make sure to cover the entire bottom of the pan.
5. Bake on 350 for 15 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and sprinkle on your chocolate chips. Place back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
7. Remove & spread your melted chocolate chips on top of the entire crust.
8. Sprinkle Sea Salt & Freeze-dried strawberries.
9. Place in freezer for one hour, then slice and serve.
*Freezes great, up to two months sealed properly in an air tight container.
