Leftover buns from memorial weekend bbq? Use it to make this 6 ingredient banana bread pudding!

This memorial weekend was filled with tons of bbq’ing, which left us with tons of leftovers we are still trying to eat our way through four days later! I stocked up on hot dog buns and an hour before the bbq we realized we didn’t even buy hot dogs! Following day I cut up the hot dog buns and made this super simple, super delicious banana bread pudding and honestly I think I’ll always be using hot dog buns from now on! Below you will find the easy how to as well as the ingredients you definitely have in hand!

Ingredients

A pack of leftover hot dog buns

3 cups of milk

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

3 ripe bananas (optional)

3 eggs

1/2 brown sugar

Cinnamon

To do

Preheat your oven to 350.

Chop up the buns and place in a bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk your three eggs, then add it to your chopped buns. Add in rest of the ingredients to the bowl. Mix all of it together until all of the bread has been soaked by the wet ingredients. Pour the bun mixture Into a coated baking pan (or bundt pan) and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm with some vanilla bean ice cream!
